BSTI to Facilitate ASTM E50 Task Group Meetings in Texas

Tripp and Nora - ASTM E50On May 23rd and 24th, BSTI’s Tripp Fischer and Nora Pearse will be attending a group meeting for the ASTM E50 Sediments Corrective Action Task Group in Spring, Texas. With over 40 individuals on the RSVP list, this meeting will have the largest attendance since the start of the development of the sediment standards back in 2015.

The three ASTM sediment standards – Risk Evaluation – Corrective Action Objectives, Monitoring, and Analytical Procedures – are being developed to improve clarity and consistency within the management of sediment sites. Tripp and Nora will be facilitating the meeting which will cover the three individual standards to be balloted through ASTM International. Currently, the entire ASTM Sediments Corrective Action Task Group has over 100 national and international individuals collaborating through ASTM to develop a standard guide, which will be both a comprehensive standard and framework used universally as a reference.
