The selected candidate will support an in-door drinking water sampling project in the City of Philadelphia. The work will be conducted at multiple locations throughout Philadelphia between Tuesday to Friday mornings (5:00 am to 9:00 am). The daily and weekly requirements may vary as the actual schedule will be determined two weeks in advance. The overall project duration will be greater than one year and potentially as long as three years. Keys to success are an ability to work independently, reliability, keen awareness of customer service and attention to detail. This position will require driving to/from our project sites in your own vehicle (expenses reimbursed), collecting drinking water samples per protocol, logging data into a tablet-based application, and tele-communicating with BSTI’s project team.
No degree required. We will train you.
Have basic computer / internet skills.
Have a valid driver’s license, be drug-free and pass a criminal background check.
Be friendly, resourceful and reliable.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs and drive a vehicle safely in an urban setting.
Advanced Requirements (considered a plus):
OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
Prior experience working in the environmental or a related industry
Reside in or near the City of Philadelphia
