I grew up in Bucks County, PA, but the first family trip to Crystal Cave in Kutztown during the 1980’s sparked my early interest in geology and earth science. Joining my father on weekends to the office of his environmental consulting firm furthered my interest in the possibilities of the earth sciences as a serious career. Fast forward through high school at Germantown Academy which provided many exciting science courses and opportunities, a Bachelor’s in geoscience from Hobart College (and a huge glacial lake to play on and in) and a Master’s in Geology/Hydrogeology (focusing on cave rocks – limestone of course) from Temple University – and I was set to apply all of this knowledge and my motivation to helping solve complex environmental problems.
I am a licensed Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania. My professional work has included projects all around the world and includes specialization in due diligence, site assessments, site characterization and remediation, geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, permitting and project development for renewable energy and oil and gas projects, regulatory compliance, project and program management. Consulting has provided me experience and numerous challenges where solutions and lessons learned for each can be applied to the next project and lucky client.
When not working, my wife and I can usually be found coaching or cheering on our son and daughter at their games, meets or tournaments. The rare and elusive free time is usually filled up working outside, reading, running to improve the 5k time, spending time with the family, and learning the infinite details of fly-fishing.
